If there is one thing I can confidently say, it’s that I am a plus size swimwear expert. I have shot, styled and directed a bikini lookbook every single year since the beginning of The B Word, trust me I have tried it all. I have searched high and low, from $10 suits to $100+ suits to find the best plus size swim.

My list of 50 places to shop for the best plus size swim is below. I would be willing to bet money you each find somewhere new to shop! I found the accessibly priced, the range of sizing, the styles, the sustainable, the ethically made, the made in the US options and most importantly the make you feel amazing swim!

1. Curvy Beach (4X (size 26) – L)
I dont like to pick favorites but Curvy Beach has to be one of my favorite bikinis brands on the market. I’ve been rocking Curvy Beach bikinis since 2017 (do you all remember this bikini lookbook?!). Curvy Beach is plus size woman owned + designed and made in the USA. I LOVE their triangle tops and own multiple suits….and my closet could use more!

2. Unika Swim (4X-XS) **additional sizing offered custom
I’m dying to try Unika swim! Toronto based, sustainable and fully customizable swim. We love a woman owned brand, that gives us SO many options. Have you seen all the style and color variety on their website?! Unika carries sizes 4X-XS but they offer customization to any measurements.
3. Eloquii (size 28-14)
Eloquii has some of the most fun, innovative plus swim each season. The quality is worth the cost, this is a suit that will last more than one summer and will remain a favorite each summer. Eloquii offers all swim styles in sizes 28-14. They recently expanded to a size 30 for a collection, I would love to see them offer up to a size 30 in all pieces including swim!
4. Walmart (5X-XS)
Don’t sleep on Walmart swim! I typically buy a Walmart suit each season and I love them. The price is right carrying up to a 5X. I always suggest Walmart if you’re in need of a solid swimsuit. Walmart really does have some fun pieces, I always like to look through the Walmart junior plus section as well.
5. Alpine Butterfly Swim (6X-XS)
Alpine Butterfly Swim is luxury, fantasy swim. The selkie of swim! With gorgeous, pastel, sequin, fringe suits…there is nothing Alpine Butterfly Swim wont do. I love having size inclusive, luxury swim! Some of the most unique plus size swimwear
6. Londre (5X-XS)
Looking for ethical, sustainable, size inclusive swim?! Londre! The amazing thing about Londre is their suits are made in North America sustainably and the styles are sexy. This is a $100+ suit and it’s worth the splurge
7. Torrid (size 30-10)
When in doubt…Torrid. I am a long time Torrid shopper and Torrid swim can be really fun. Carrying sizes 10-30 is MAJOR and they have lots of different styles + levels of coverage
8. Good American (5XL…their sizing chart calls this a 8)
People LOVE Good American! I love that they have so many different styles, in 5XL-XS! Give us plus babes the bright colors!! I have never tried Good American swim and I’m very curious! Good American’s motto is “Representing Body Acceptance” so I appreciate that all styles come in their full size range.
9. Lane Bryant (size 36-12)
Lane Bryant has so many style options this swim season! If you want a bikini, a tankini, a swim skirt or a cut out one piece – Lane Bryant has it! The quality of their suits is always worth the cost. I have Lane Bryant suits for years. They’re a plus size swimwear staple.
10. Target (junior plus size 4X-1X, women plus 26W)
I have been so impressed with Target the last few years. Each year they carry more and more for us plus size shoppers. I would love to see them carry all fun swim styles in plus sizes as well, something I believe they’re working towards. I find I need to size up in Target’s junior swim, sometimes they fit can be off for me. After working out any sizing issues, I have always loved my Target Swim.
11. ASOS (US 26-12)
Love me some ASOS, one of my got to places to shop! I always love their swim options, each year they add more and more!
12. Rebdolls (5X-S)
I love me some Rebdolls! A woman owned business, that carries such a range of sizes is a WIN! Rebdolls is known for being sexy, colorful and daring. Their swim is for everyone who is looking to show off in their swim! They have really unique, fun swim options each year.

13. Nettle’s Tale (4X-XS)
My followers put me on to this brand! Vancouver based and ethically made, Nettle’s Tale offers sustainable swimwear. I have never tried this brand and I would love to!
14. Amazon (6X-0X)
Best part of Amazon? Fast delivery and the prices. Amazon has some cute, trendy, affordable options!
15. Pretty Little Thing (size 26-12)
You want trendy swim? Pretty Little Thing is your girl. Trendy swim styles with generous sizing (honestly recommend sizing down) under $50
16. Swimsuits For All (Size 26-2)
Swimsuits for All is one of the first places to carry cute plus size swim (Thank you Gabi Fresh and Ashley Graham collabs!). We love Swimsuits for All redefined the plus size bikini, I would love to see them continue to create trendy plus size swimwear
17. Unique Vintage (6X-Large)
I LOVE Unique Vintage and their unique swim styles! Have we seen the fringe tan bikini they dropped this year?! Unique Vintage is known for having vintage looking styles. If you’re looking for a pin up look?! Unique Vintage is your go to place!
18. Shein (5X-1X, they say 5X is a size 22)
If you’re looking to spend one dollar sign on swim, Shein. They carry so many styles, lots of variety.
19. Nordstrom (24/3X-00)
I’m loving the direction Nordstrom is going with their BP line, carrying up to 4X in stores! I would love to see their plus size swim reflect that.
20. Modcloth (4X)
Where are my cute, kitschy girlies?! Modcloth has some really cute swim styles in inclusive sizes! If you want a pattern, a frill, shop Modcloth!
21. Cupshe (4X-0X)
I have seen so many Cupshe hauls on Youtube and everyone always looks amazing! I have never tried this brand but they have lots of cute options if you’re looking for all types of suits including bikinis, tankinis and one pieces. With Cupshe you will be paying under $50 a suit. Should I do a Cupshe try on haul?
22. City Chic/Avenue (6X)
Australian based brand City Chic and Avenue has got the size 6X bodies covered! They have SUPER cute one piece swimsuits and chic bikinis! The quality of their swim is worth the price. I have always loved City Chic and would love to try their swim again, my last purchase was in 2016!
23. Old Navy (4X-XS)
I recently purchased three suits from Old Navy for the first time in years and was so impressed! If you’re looking for a quality suit for a really reasonable price, Old Navy is that girl. I love that they have a select number of swim styles, in multiple fabrics in all sizes making shopping so easy. They just dropped some new plus size swimwear looks! 10/10 would recommend!
24. Fabletics Swim (4X-XXS)
NEW Fabletics swim! I have yet to try but Fabletics has just expanded into swim. Fabletics is a membership program, so they will continue to drop new styles each month at a reduced rate for their members. They carry up to a 4X, which their size chart says is a 22/24
25. Akoya Swim (4X-XS)
Luxury, Inclusive swimwear! We love to see it! They have gorgeous bikinis in gorgeous colors. I love one of their neon bikinis because the bottom has a little skirt flair. I’m always looking out for unique plus size swim and I would love to try Akoya! Excited to see what they continue to release!
26. Summer Salt (2X-XS)
Summer Salt is the mid-size baddies go to! I see Summer Salt all over my Instagram feed so I was disappointed that they only carry up to a 2X. Known for their one pieces that have a wrap in the front that looks like a wrap dress, they also carry patterned bikinis perfect for pool day! Have you tried Summer Salt?
27. Meet Curve (4X-S)
Meet Curve is home of a full coverage swimsuit. Lots of one pieces and tankinis! Most suits are priced under $40. I have never tried Meet Curve and I appreciate the selection they have. I remember when there was only one store to shop plus size swimwear so options excite me!

28. Adore Me (4X-S)
I LOVE Adore Me swim! I love Adore Me and each swimsuit I get from them, I really love. Adore Me one pieces are amazing. I find I have some fit issues with their bikini tops because they’re sized like bras and only carry up to a 44 band width. I would need a wider band (46”)
29. Forever 21 (3X-0X)
Good old F21! Forever 21 was one of the first places I started shopping plus size swimwear. They continue to drop fun, cute, on trend swim but they’re long overdue for a size expansion because junior plus sizes 0-3X is too limiting.
30. Dia&Co (30-10)
Dia&Co carries swim from lots of different brands. They carry multiple brands, all sort of styles in sizes 10-30, so you only need to shop in one place. A great way to try new brands! Expect quality swim at this price point
31. Nomads Swimwear (5X-0X)
We love a woman owned business! Nomads was created by model + fashion designer Taylor Long. They come out with new styles each season and are known for their mesh nude illusion suits! I love that their suits look amazing on every skin tone and every size.

Boohoo is where you go for trendy, sexy, swim for one season. The prices reflect the quality. I usually pick up a Boohoo suit every year

34. Lands End (26W-16W)
When I was younger Lands End was one of the only places that offered plus size swim so I know my way around a scoop neck Lands End one piece. To my surprise they have expanded their plus size swim section! Carrying sizes 26-16W, they have lots of options in style + pattern. Lands End is worth the money, a quality suit that will last a few years depending on wear.
35. Yandy (3X-1X)
If you want sexy, barely there swim, Yandy is the spot. They carry their swim in half sizes (1X/2X and 3X/4X), which can make fit an issue for us over size 3X. See more Yandy Swim on The B Word blog here!
36. Ashley Stewart (5X-1X)
OMG I’m loving the Ashley Stewart cover ups! Making this list I got lots of requests for cute swim cover ups. When I went to Ashley Stewart I was pleasantly surprised to see some sexy, fun cover ups, even pants?! Fun! Lots of plus size swimwear styles!
37. Hot Topic (5X-0X)
Sailor Moon swim? Swim featuring your favorite comic book heroes?! Hot Topic is the place! Fun swim options that double as a cosplay! Where are my Disney girls?! Hot Topic has a great plus size swim section! Do I need an Ursula inspired bikini?!
38. Monif C (24W-14W)
Monif C is the OG of plus size swim! Women owned and designed, infamous for using gorgeous patterns. Monif C is a staple of plus size swim. They now offer lingerie because Monif C does sexy.
39. Coedition (34-12)
Coedition carries multiple brands all in plus sizes! A range of prices and styles. Coedition is a one stop shop and honestly I thought so much of the swim was cute! I have gotten an Alpine Butterfly Swim suit from Coediton and it was a great shopping experience.
40. Fashion Nova (3X-XS)
Fashion Nova is for that girl’s trip to Miami! You want to look great, wear something unique and rock swim that stands out? Fashion Nova! The price point is under $50 for a suit and you will probably wear it for one season. I love all the cut outs, the bright color options and the matching cover up sets. No one does sexy swim like Fashion Nova!
41. Venus (26-12)
Are you looking for a cover up? A caftan and a tankini?! Venus is the place. I have never shopped here but I wanted to include in the round up. Honestly some cute options, lots of tankinis if that is your style!
42. Fashion to Figure (Size 26-12)
Fashion to Figure is that girl! FTF continues to collab with plus size influencers on really cute lines and the swim options are very cute. I would love to see FTF expand sizing and continue offer fun, sexy styles in plus. We need it!
43. Chic Soul (4X-1X)
Feminine, soft swim is what you’ll get from Chic Soul. I have never tried their swim but it comes in sizes 4X-1X. Chic Soul has a good amount of options as far as styles and patterns. I really like their one piece with a drawstring for a ruched look.
44. Cantiq Los Angeles (6X-XS)
We LOVE new swim drops! Cantiq Los Angeles just dropped swim for presale! This LA based company is known for their cheeky cut outs and gender fluid collections. Cantiq just offered a swim collection for presale, I’m super excited to their future in swim!
45. Curvy Sense (4X-1X)
Curvy Sense is an LA based plus size fashion company that makes most of their styles in LA. Offering suits and some matching caftans, they have a variety of swim for under $50. Super cute plunging one pieces, these are some unique, sexy swim options for my plus girls!
46. Night Dive Swim (6X-S)
I’m dying to try Night Dive Swim! They have a few styles of bottoms that they offer in bright, fun colors. You can mix and match, get the top and bottom you want in the color way you love. Ethically made and sustainable, I love that Night Dive makes you want to be on an island immediately.
47. MeUndies (4X-S)
Another new swim launch of 2022, Me Undies is known for offering fun patterned underwear to all genders + sizes. Launching swim is super exciting and I would love to test it! They have multiple styles in fun patterns + colors! Sky Dye is my favorite!
48. Chromat (4X-XS)
I have had the honor of seeing Chromat’s show at New York Fashion Week and honestly they make inclusive swim COOL. Chromat is sporty swim meets editorial swim. If you are wanting to swim right off the runway? Chromat.
49. Girlfriend Collective (6XL-XXS)
The newest, size inclusive swim launch! I have yet to try Girlfriend Collective but so many plus shoppers swear by them. Girlfriends Collective is launching a few new swim styles in all sizes. I cant wait to try!
50. Curvy Fox (4X-1X)
Let’s round this list out to 50! Curvy Fox is women owned and gives us some fun, sexy swim! I have never tried the brand but I’m loving their sexy cut out one pieces. Have you shopped Curvy Fox? Should I do a try on haul?!
