I’m sure, I’m not the first to tell you this… but fat people experience prejudice. As fat people, we can struggle with finding proper health care, issues while traveling, judgements in gyms and being passed up on job opportunities or promotions. Plus size business needs a boost. “Women affected by obesity face a steep wage penalty, tending to earn 6 percent less than thinner women, by some estimates, while overweight men tend to earn about 3 percent less than their thinner counterparts” (HuffPost)

It always astounds me, that so much judgement is placed on fat bodies and the concept of fatness. I want The B Word to be a resource, so I decided to make a list of plus size people, businesses, freelancers we could support. I started a chain on Instagram asking people to submit themselves!
